Checking out

Within a few minutes of completing your test, the invigilator will print out and present you with the result. This is in the form of a letter from the Securities and Investment Institute which will tell you if you have passed or failed.

If you have passed, and your test completes a certificate or qualification, you will receive your official certificate in the post within 7 working days. Your results can also be verified by visiting the Securities Institute website. It can take up to 72 hours for results to be posted there.

If you have failed, the letter will contain useful revision tips on those areas of the syllabus where your performance was less satisfactory.

As you leave the secure test area, you will be asked to retrieve your possessions from the locker, and to sign out. You are then free to leave the test centre.
