The partnership between ACCA and the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) been developed so that ACCA members who work in, or have an interest, in the securities and investment industry can have easy access to the CISI qualifications and membership that could assist their career progression.

CISI qualifications 

ACCA has approved and accredited a number of CISI qualifications as relevant sources of CPD for its members. This reflects the fact that many roles in financial services require individuals to have an in-depth understanding of the industry and the regulations that underpin it. We have identified the qualifications and/or examination papers most applicable to accountants working in, or wishing to move into, the securities and investments industry.

Accountants Starting out in the Financial Services Sector

Introduction to Investment Award (one hour examination)
Financial Regulation (two different one-hour examinations to choose from)

Investment Operations

Diploma in Investment Operations (three different areas to choose from)
Investment Administration Qualification (IAQ) (11 different subject areas to choose from)
Qualified ACCA members, if seeking regulatory FSA approval, are exempt from one module of the IAQ.

Funds

Diploma Fund Management Paper (three hour written paper)

2010/11 Subscription:

MCSI: £165.00
ACSI: £120.00

(Joining fees waived for ACCA members, normally £50 for MCSIs and £25 for ACSIs)

Membership is from 1st April to 31st March of the following year. The subscription for the first year is payable at the time of application. Cheques should be made payable to the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment Ltd and crossed 'a/c Payee only'. Following the first year of membership, payment can then be made annually by Direct Debit.
