Retail Distribution Review (RDR)

Background

The Financial Services Authority (FSA) launched its retail review in June 2006. Please see the RDR Background page for information on the RDR and how the CISI is involved.  

Qualifications

The CISI, in line with the new FSA requirements, has developed new level 4 qualifications for retail advisers. 

The FSA has approved some CISI existing and legacy qualifications which meet the RDR transitional requirements.  Advisers that hold one of these qualifications will only need to top up their knowledge with structured CPD. The CISI is pleased to help individuals and firms verify their qualifications and thus clarify their status under the transitional arrangements for RDR. 

Membership and CPD
